About Jody

Jody Childs has had a life time involvement with horses working with some of the most prominent trainers and instructors within our industry to gain experience and hands-on knowledge of just what it takes to accomplish a team effort from horse and rider. Jody passes this knowledge on through her students.

Teaching Hunter, Jumper, Peruvian Paso & Western riders, Jody has helped many students learn to be successful with their mounts and achieve the goal they have set for themselves.
Jody's experiences include:
2004 Opened Del Dios Peruvians
2001 Began training gaited horses, Peruvians, Paso Finos, and Mangalarga Marchadors.

 Returned to Amateur status ; showed on the California "A" circuit in hunters & jumpers

At Left: Jody is being awarded GSDHJA Champion 3’6” Open Jumper for the Year. Her prize was an all expense paid Cruise for two to the Mexican Riviera.
 
Prominent Trainers Influencing Jody Childs
Michael Manesco Ex-Cavalry Officer; Trained with for five years. Michael let me have his boarder's horses in training along with his own that we got in for re-sale. I had up to 5 horses in training starting when I was 15 years old.
J.J. Smith JJ rode horses in many Disney Movies including "The Horse in the Grey Flannel Suit" and " The Apple Dumpling Gang." An excellent hunter trainer and jumper rider.
Chuck Esau Great Equitation Trainer - Spent 3 years working with Chuck & still use his techniques today
John Lipari John is very knowledgeable about training horses. Trained with for 1 year.
Bernie & Christine Traurig Bernie is one of the World's best horseman who competed in Olympic/World Cup jumping, cross country, and dressage. Christine went on to represent the U.S. in Dressage in Sydney. Trained with for 2 years working on dressage & jumpers
Robert Ridland Robert represented the US Olympic team twice. Learned course designing and showed jumpers. Trained with for 2 years. Robert's students win in the show ring!
Damien Gardiner Represented Ireland in the Olympics. Trained with for six months. A Master.
