"I had only ridden a few times in my life on terrible rental horses, so I had not learned anything about riding. But at age 47, I decided to pursue a childhood dream I had put on the shelf for decades: becoming a horsewoman. I took my first lesson with Jody and learned so much! After that first lesson, I already felt so much more confident and I also I knew that I could succeed in this. After five months of lessons just once a week, I had seen such strides in my ability that I decided to start competing on Peruvian horses. It wasn't unrealistic at all! Jody was with me every step of the way. I'm hooked on Jody's method of training, of building both the horse's ability as well as the rider's, and I have succeeded in every area I have attempted. I'm riding for life now." - Carol Manson
As a navy wife I try and find different things to do in each state that I go to with my husband, since I have a love of horses I try and find that in that state. I rode gaited horses before(Paso fino) but never knew that there are other smooth gaited horses out there. I came cross Jody's web page while searching for gaited horses, her site popped up with Peruvian Paso and after I did my research on this breed,I thought why not give it a try.And I did,and it just blew my away by the smoothness of the breed and the willness of the breed to please the rider. Jody had open a new page for me,in gaited horses. Her(Jody's) teaching style is to be safe at all timed. I felt that way with her, she was right there with me teaching and showing me all what the breed has to offer. Through that I ending up showing in Las Vegas, and walking away with a 6th and two 5th place ribbons and helped Jody in winning a new trail saddle. Jody also inspired me that you are never to old to try something new,so if you are in the Bonsall area stop on by and say "Hi" to Junior, Jody's palomino peruvian for me.

I want to say “thank you” again for helping us find the “right” first horse. Ginger has been a wonderful addition to our family. We really appreciated your patience and your commitment to matching us with a safe and loving horse. Thank you also for being a our first point of contact in the world of Peruvian Pasos. Geoff and Laurel Thomas
Thank you, Jody, for all the training and encouragement to own and ride gaited horses ..I would never have experienced the courage of riding the trails without your help and support...Danza, Tango, and I are making it happen thanks to you!!

Twenty years ago I was forced to give up riding and the horses I loved due to severe arthritis in my neck and back. A car accident then took more activities away. At age 60 I was led to Del Dios Peruvians. The Peruvians are amazing horses that you must see to appreciate. Their gait is smooth, they are very people oriented, and extremely intelligent. I am able to ride again without pain. Regaining what I had lost because of these special horses is truly amazing! The atmosphere at Jody's Training Stable is full of joy and love. The people and the horses are thriving. My life has been changed and the joy is contagious. Debbe Wooten
I have had the joy of riding Peruvian Paso's for the past 4 years and I can't tell you how therapeutic they are. The breed itself is willing and tries to please at every turn. The gentle movement is so relaxing and the thrill of the ride is exhillerating! Jody is a one of a kind person that loves and cares for every rider that crosses her path. We are priviledged to have her! Tracee Metten
